flashrank

Privacy policy

FlashRank can be read without an account and without advertising trackers. This page explains the little data we process, where it goes, and your rights.

Last updated: September 23, 2026

Data controller

FlashRank LLC is established in the United States. Because FlashRank also serves readers in the European Union, we apply the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to their data, in addition to US law.

Data we process

Reading the site

No registration is required. We use no audience-measurement tools, no targeted advertising and no social media pixels.

Server logs

Like any website, our server records the IP address, date, requested page, browser and referring site for each request. These logs are used only for security and to keep the service running (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are kept for 12 months at most.

Contact form, emails and calls

When you contact us, we receive your name, email address, chosen subject, message, and the date and IP address of submission (to prevent abuse). If you call us, we may see your phone number. This data is used only to reply to you. Legal basis: your consent, given through the form checkbox (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in replying to messages received directly (Art. 6(1)(f)). It is kept for 3 years at most after our last exchange, then deleted.

Display preference

If you choose the light or dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (pp-theme-override). It never leaves your device and is not sent to us.

Where your data is processed

As FlashRank LLC is established in the United States, the data described above is processed and stored in the United States, where the level of data protection differs from that of the European Union. We therefore limit collection to what is strictly necessary, protect data with appropriate technical measures and share it with no third parties other than the service providers listed below.

Third-party services

  • Google Fonts: the site’s fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and information about your browser. No cookie is set.
  • Article images: some images are displayed from the original source’s website, which then receives your IP address as with any web image.
  • Share buttons (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp): these are plain links. No data is sent to these networks unless you click.
  • “Source” links: when you follow a link to an external site, you leave FlashRank; that site’s privacy policy then applies.

Recipients

Your data is accessible only to the FlashRank LLC team and, within the scope of their work, to our technical providers: website hosting and email delivery. We do not sell, rent or share any personal data for advertising purposes. We may disclose data to authorities only when required by law.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom

  • access, rectification and erasure of your data;
  • restriction of processing and objection;
  • portability of the data you provided to us;
  • withdrawal of your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
  • setting instructions for what happens to your data after your death (France).

You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country, for example the CNIL in France (cnil.fr/plaintes).

If you are in the United States

Depending on your state of residence (for example California), you may request to know, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. We do not sell or “share” your data within the meaning of the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

How to exercise your rights

Email [email protected] or use the contact form (subject “My personal data”). You can also write to us at FlashRank LLC, 30 North Gould Street, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. We may ask you for information to verify your identity. We reply within one month at most.

Children

The site is not specifically aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from people under 16. If you believe a minor has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. The contact form is protected against automated submissions and cross-site requests, and access to data is limited to the people who need it.

Changes

We may update this policy, for example if we add a service. The date of the latest update appears at the top of the page. See also our cookie policy and our terms of use.
